Ron Brown grew up in Eastern Washington state and moved to Montana in June 1992. He taught himself to fly fish soon after moving to Montana and in 2016 started guiding the Madison River, Yellowstone River, the Big Hole, and the Beaverhead rivers. In 2019 he moved to Colorado to fish the rivers there, where he again built custom fly rods and began working closely with Project Healing Waters as a Fly Fishing Mentor and Rod Building Coach. In 2021 he guided a very remote area in the Alaskan Penisula, fishing Painter Creek and other rivers at the base of Chiganagak Volcano, where he tied the flies that were used to catch king salmon, silver salmon, and char. Ron couldn't resist the call of Montana and moved back in 2022. He is currently guiding in Southwest Montana and couldn't be happier to be in his home state

We had a great day catching fish on dry flies all day! We will be back next year
We have been coming to this area for 20 years. I will always have Ron as my guide
Ron taught my grandson how to cast a fly rod and it was fun watching his passion
